When many people think about the effects of sea level rise and erosion due to global warming, they usually imagine tropics and nearby coastal areas, such as the North Carolina Outer Banks, much of Florida, or the island nations of the South Pacific. However, here is an interesting account of displacement caused to villagers from the small coastal Alaskan town of Newtok.
