Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Policy Advisor of Long Term Planning and Sustainability and an interfaith leader for Environmental Justice, is coming to UNC on October 3rd to speak about his recent book, "Green Deen: What Islam Teaches About Protecting the Planet". It will be followed by a Q/A session. The event will take place at 6:00 pm on Monday, October 3rd in the Nelson Mandela Auditorium of FedEx Global Education Center (door opens at 5:30 pm) followed by a book signing.
The event is co-sponsored by UNC Muslim Students Association, UNC Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, Duke-UNC Consortium for Middle East Studies and UNC Renewable Energy Special Projects Committee (RESPC).
