The Stone House is hiring a part-time Garden Steward.
The Stone House, located in Western Orange County, has a 15 hour per week Garden Steward job opening. The Garden Steward is responsible for maintaining vegetable production in the existing gardens and orchard at the Stone House. The harvest of the gardens goes directly into The Stone House’s kitchen where our cook team works to prepare nourishing and healthy meals for the many rental groups who visit the Stone House and participate in our programs. The main goal of the Garden Steward is to support the health and well-being of the land and the groups that visit the Stone House by growing organic, chemical-pesticide free vegetables that will enrich the overall experience at The Stone House. We’re looking for someone who has hands-on experience as well as technical knowledge in an agricultural/ garden setting. This position will also require having interpersonal skills and being able to work in a public setting.
COMPENSATION
Position is for 60 hours per month and will be compensated at a rate of $15 per hour. This position is seasonal and will extend from March through November. Limited benefits are included with this position.
