Job Description:
Lenovo’s Global Environmental Affairs organization supports Lenovo’s worldwide sales, product development, marketing, and other teams to ensure compliance Lenovo’s products and processes are compliant to environmental laws and voluntary programs around the world. This includes supporting recycling programs, design for environment requirements, ecolabels, use of environmentally preferable materials including recycled content, and many other leadership areas. This position would primarily support the Global Environmental Affairs team’s compliance activities including regulatory reporting for recycling and other programs, data management, and registrations. The position would directly support the US, Canada, and Latin America environmental manager by managing reporting data and ensuring reports are filed by deadline. The position will work with the sales operations team to develop reports and processes to ensure compliance to various regional recycling and other environmental legal and voluntary requirements. This position would be expected to develop enhanced data management solutions to streamline compliance activities. This position would also support the Lenovo product environmental programs manager by assisting with product registrations for programs such as ENERGY STAR, EPEAT, and others. This role would help populate, maintain, and deploy product environmental databases and would assist with ensuring the latest information on Lenovo product environmental attributes and environmental programs is communicated via webpages and other documentation.

Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in environmental science, engineering, or management – or- chemical engineering, materials science or related field preferred. Masters preferred. 
  • At least 2 yrs experience; preference for experience supporting compliance activities. 
  • Experience in managing multiple track data and compliance reporting deadlines. 
  • Experience with environmental compliance audits preferred. 
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables) required; experience with SAP desired. 
  • Must be a self starter with experience working in a dynamic and global environment. 
  • Must be an effective communicator, written and oral. 
  • Must be able to perform on deadline with accuracy, thoroughness, attention to detail.
