Program Intern: NC Business Statement of Support for Sustainability
NCSC is working to demonstrate that “sustainability” is not just a warm and fuzzy concept, but a real driver of business competitiveness and economic development in North Carolina. With support of several partner organizations and local businesses, we have created a statement of support for sustainability that NC businesses are signing onto. The statement will be released with a list of signatories in late Fall 2012. I’m looking for an MBA or MEM who is willing to help me with soliciting, documenting, and tracking signatures. Though no data analysis is required, this effort will involve talking with lots of senior business executives and sustainability leaders across the state, understanding the “business case” for sustainability, and being persuasive. I will open doors for conversations, but the intern should be someone resourceful and willing to pick up the phone and call (not just email) contacts. Excellent communicator, energetic self-starter, detail-oriented individual desired. Approx. 8 hours/week through Fall semester.
