Bike and Smile

Two unrelated UNC research projects recently presented their findings to the public:

1) Active Commuting: People who use alternative, physical forms of transportation—specifically people who walk or ride a bicycle to work—are less likely to be obese and more likely to have healthier levels of triglyceride, blood pressure, and insulin.

2) Positivity:
People with positive attitudes who spend time each day looking on the bright side and finding small things in life to be happy about have increased resilience against challenges.

Bicycling as a mode of transportation is quite fun. Next time you get a chance, try biking to work: with the physical fitness and positivity you exude, challenges will seem like nothing. You can definitely make it over that big hill!
