Since committing to climate neutrality by 2050, the university has made significant progress in stabilizing greenhouse gas emissions through renewable energy, alternative transportation, and energy efficiency programs. The 2010 Climate Action Plan Update reports that the university’s greenhouse gas emissions have remained constant, maintaining emissions near 2004 levels despite adding over 4 million square feet of space.
