The Village of Clemmons is seeking a Stormwater Engineer.
This position supervises a small staff and directs the Village’s stormwater management program. The village operates under a NPDES Phase II Permit, a stormwater utility, and includes a limited capital program. Desired qualifications include a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or similar and a minimum of three years of experience in stormwater design, inspections, construction and maintenance, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities. Additional skills includes demonstrated knowledge and experience in NPDES Phase II Permits, hydrology pertaining to water quality and quantity controls standards, watershed, floodplain, and erosion control regulations, TMDLs, stormwater utility, and capital project management. Prefer licensure as a Professional Engineer by the NC Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire date. Experience working with local governments and budgeting a plus. Salary competitive with similar sized jurisdictions.
