 Green Oil and Light is looking for a student assistant to help implement its Green Tracks training program.

Assistant, GOAL Green Tracks Training 
This is a Green Business Incubator and Training Facility in East Durham that is collaboratively coordinating a monthly green jobs training program with several other organizations (Durham Economic Resource Center and other NGOs in the community, with funding from Wells Fargo, Goldenleaf and others). Target clients are ex-offenders, the under-employed, and at-risk youth communities. The organization also plans to extend services to veterans. Training cohorts usually have 10-15 students and last 2 weeks, with eight days of modules and hands-on workshops, tours and field trips. The organization hopes to expand the program to offer mentoring and capital assistance for start-ups as well as apprenticeship programs.

Responsibilities: Advocate for developing community education programming and funding support systems. Computer literacy, office management and organizational skills desired. If interested, please contact Marc at marc@theforestfoundation.org.
