Internship- FL

The Wildlife Habitat Management Program of the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation is seeking a short-term intern to assist with habitate restoration on conservation lands on Sanibel Island in Florida.

Duties will include removal and spraying of exotic vegetation, planting native vegetation, and trail creation and maintenance.  This is an opportunity to gain experience in habitat restoration and ecology.

Degree or progress toward a degree in natural resources, biology, or related field required.  Applicants must be able and willing to work outdoors in high heat and humidity and have a tolerance for biting insects and vegetation. 

Stipend of $200 per week and housing provided.  Preference will be given to applicants who can start in July or as soon as possible.  The length of the internship is flexible, but must be at least 1 month.
