Berea College, celebrated nationally as one of America's greenest colleges, is currently seeking to hire and experienced professional to work closely with the Vice President to provide leadership, inspiration, supervision and direction to a number of key areas across campus.
These areas include Facilities Management, Environmental Health and Safety, Property Management, Print Shop, College Post Office, Conferences and Capital Project Management. The successful candidate will provide expertise and energy to advance the College's sustainability objectives and campus planning processes, and improve reporting and analysis of business and sustainability activities.
Candidates for this newly created management opportunity should possess strong credentials in project management, capital and budget planning, contract analysis and negotiation, policy development, experience in energy conservation or sustainability programming and should be capable of assisting campus colleagues in translating Berea's mission and vision into the campus of the future. Superior communication skills, a substantial supervisory background, strong computer skills and a sincere desire to provide positive, meaningful work experiences for student staff members are essential qualifications. An undergraduate degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Architecture, Business or similarly relevant discipline is required (advanced degree is preferred); 8-10 years experience is needed for this position; LEED AP Certification is helpful.
